Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joins Julianna Margulies' "The Good Wife" Season 7

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is officially joining the seventh season of "The Good Wife". 

Morgan, 49, will play Alex, a cool and experienced hourly investigator, who is just hired by Alicia Florrick (portrayed by Julianna Margulies).

"We've loved and admired Jeffrey Dean Morgan for years, and we were thrilled to hear that Julianna did too, so it was a no-brainer to ask him to join our troupe," executive producers Robert and Michelle King said in a press release.

"The Good Wife" returns on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
