Ariana Grande has taken to social media to express her annoyance about how women are portrayed in the entertainment industry and in real life. Grande, 21, began the essay by writing: "being empowered is not the same as being a b-tch" and that "having something to say is not the same as having a bad attitude."
The singer said: "What I meant when I said what I said about not being (Big) Sean's ex is that I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man's past, present, or future property/possession."
Ariana then provided significant examples of the double standards in society.
